Review process

Intended for publication in the collection “Scientific research on refractories and technical ceramics. Collection of scientific papers” articles are accepted and considered first by the editor-in-chief and responsible secretary, sent for review and approved at a meeting of the editorial board. Finally, the collection of scientific papers is approved for publication by the Scientific Council of JSC “The URIR named after A.S. Berezhnoy” (the number and date of the minutes of the Scientific Council meeting are indicated on the second page of the collection).

Each article is sent for review according to its subject. All reviewers (according to the order requirements of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine No. 32 dated January 15, 2018) are recognized experts on the subject of peer-reviewed materials. The reviewer cannot be the author or co-author of the peer-reviewed work. The “open peer review” procedure is applied.

The reviewer’s review, which is provided in paper or electronic form, should contain an unambiguous conclusion regarding the admission of the article to publication. The authors of the submitted materials are given the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the text of the review.

If it is necessary to finalize the article, the manuscript should be corrected by the author as soon as possible and re-submitted to the editorial board. All changes made by the author in the materials of the publication are verified with the comments and recommendations of the reviewer.

If the expert appointed by the editorial board has decided not to publish the article, then the article will not be published. Scientific results can be re-submitted to the editorial board of the collection only after serious revision in the form of a new article, which will be sent for review to a new reviewer.

The reviews signed by the reviewer are saved in the editorial office of the publication for 3 years.

Manuscript materials were not disclosed by reviewers without permission from the editorial board. Information and ideas received during the review and related to possible benefits are not used for the personal purposes of the reviewer without the written consent of the author.
